Dear Jigme,

Thanks so much for including this important story on your blog. Over 20,000 people could be affected, more than by any other controversy in the exile community today. It is so important that people know about this issue.
Bhutan would likely be unwilling to take on additional Tibetan refugees as they already have (ironically in some sense) many Nepali refugees who stay there, and who are sometimes not treated so well as they are seen by some as a drain on the economy.
I hope my country of Canada will step up for the Tibetans and let more settle here. We already have a sizeable community in Ontario and it is becoming well established. So the Tibetans here can provide some help and support to incoming Tibetan refugees from Nepal.

I know this might sound a bit insensitive, but I think that Tibetans should rather go to Bhutan provided that the Bhutanese have a favorable policy towards refugees. The Bhutanese are very similar to Tibetans, to the point that their language, Dzongkha (རྫོང་ཁ) can be considered as a dialect of Tibetan.

On the other hand Nepal is Hindu, they speak Indo-European languages, and with the political situtation there life will become harder for Tibetans.
